Elaine Branjord, RN

A retired nurse, Elaine Branjord worked most of her career caring for young families as they welcomed new babies to their world. She has seen health care delivery move to a private for-profit model and wants that to change. She — along with the incomparable Eliza Carney  — spent many hours collecting signatures to put ColoradoCare on the ballot. Branjord believes that the culture of our state will be vastly improved under a simple, just, and fair system of health care financing.  She is convinced that the Colorado Foundation for Universal Health Care (CO4UHC) mission of Simple guaranteed quality health care for all for life is moving from a possibility to a reality, and looks forward to the peace of mind and health of body it will bring us all.
